Fat Albert`s Fried Chicken in Lafayette

Love them! They have the best chicken, fried okra and gizzards that I've ever eaten!

The food is always hot and delicious but the side orders come in pepper containers. They gave me 1 tiny scoop of rice dressing with my family meal. I was disappointed.

Food has changed, not as good

Best fried chicken in all of Acadiana. Large, juicy pieces, freshly cooked. Great homemade sides. Eat in or take out. Can't go wrong here!

Went there tonight for my family diner was sold old fries and did not give me my entire order . Bought 12 piece special I got old fries and they just said the hell with the rice and kept it new management needs to tighten up

Been eating here since I was little. Great food, but I HATE their small parking lot on the corner of 2 very busy intersections and the long lines. They really need to get on the delivery apps so I can order their stuff which is the only reason for the 4 stars.

It's the hood chicken spot. I don't know what people are expecting on service. It's great tasting food with a long wait. Make sure you have time to wait because you will, they can only try so much food at a time. Don't catch an attitude with the staff because they will catch one back. Don't expect the floors to be too clean because they are staffed to COOK. Other than that you won't find better chicken in Lafayette. Plain and simple.

Small catfish, is pretty good, enough for 2 meals if you have side dishes

The food was good and the service excellent. The prices was reasonable and food filling. Perfect for a fast pickup to feed your family without going broke doing it. Try the red beans and rice meal but be ready to smile and be surprised at a fast fresh dinner that not only hit the spot but also don't break your budget.

Chicken good. The sides I didn't like at all I have okra, Onion rings and zucchini and red beans and rice

Got a to go order and should have checked before leaving as left out my corn on cob.

I love this restaurant. I stop here when ever I'm in town. The staff is local and friendly. And the the food if good with nice portion size. Try there chicken or baked chicken. If you want to try something a little different try there chicken gizzards.

Chicken strips were good and huge! Served hot. Ordered gizzards and they were horrible! Couldnt eat them. Go to Popeyes. Staff were very nice. Could be cleaner.

Not the same chicken. Use to be my favorite, not sure why it's not the same. Thought they would serve the same recipe.

The first time I went there, before I left the building, the bag was full of grrase. The chicken was nothing but grease. I went there again some months later to give them another try and well, the chicken has no flavor. I would love to buy this place and revamp it from top to bottom, inside and out and also retrain the employees.

This place has the best, the greasiest, the unhealthiest fried chicken ever. The fish isn't bad either.

Was decent for the price... The place seems run down on the inside...but it doesn’t stop the business.I haven’t heard any horror stories about this place...but I’m sure there are some.Ok service. Decent fried chicken. Our chicken was hot and seemed fresh. Good place to stop and grab a quick bite...but wouldn’t recommend sitting inside.

This was my first time eating here and the chicken was dam good my friends had the liver i tasted was really good also

It has been a while since I have gone. New ownership has since taken over. I ordered the large catfish basket. In the past my family and I would have plenty to share. Today I noticed a lot less fish in the basket I could have eaten all of it. I’ll probably give them one more try with the chicken but I’ve been told that it isn’t the same either.

I love this place! It's definitely a diamond in the rough. I'm really not into fried chicken but the baked chicken is so so so so good....and not everybody can cook white meat without it being dry, but they can :)

Loved it!! The fried okra is OFF THE CHAIN!!! EVERY TIME. CHICKEN WAS STEAMING and fried to perfection.

As a fried chicken lover, I must say, this is the best chicken ever. Too bad I don't eat here too often. Their fried fish is off the chain too. For 15 dollars you get enough fish to feed a whole family.

Drove 8 miles to get there because I had a taste for onion rings and fried chicken, also gizzards. I am not a picky eater but the gizzards were horrible, so rubbery I couldn't bit them, the onion rings were greasy. The beans Ok,

Food tasted ok, but later that night. Everyone in the family was throwing up. Not going there again. Only went because wife wanted to try a new place. Should have stuck to the big names.

I will never eat there again. Food had no seasoning and was tasteless. The worker's friends were coming in and getting their food free of charge. Personal discussions amongst workers were very entertaining.

Asked owner why his sign said World Famous Fried Chicken ? Owner told me how a lady from France was visiting here. She bought some Fat Albert's Fried Chicken and liked it so much that on her flight home to France she brought a bunch of fried chicken back with her. Owner said you see, our fried chicken is not only good it's 'World Famous'.

Fat Albert's is a great place to enjoy a different fried chicken taste. It's not Popeyes, KFC or Church's it's Fat Albert's and it has its own way of making fried chicken. Very tasty. Enjoy it everytime I have eaten there.
